Miracles do happen
After letting this site collect dust for more years than I wish to remember, and dropping the usual quips about the cobbler's children going without shoes when it came up in conversation, I finally took some time to replace the crumbling holding page with some actual content.
There are details left to refine and ingredients to add but the substance is there. Also, the work area only features a few items right now, I'll be adding more as time and contract clauses permit.
On the technical front, the site is built using Django which you've probably heard of unless you've been living off grid for a long time. It's a framework that sits perfectly with my approach to the web: clean and pragmatic. Even though there's only one Django project in the work section right now, I already have a few of them under my belt.
As is frequently the case these days, the site looks best on browsers that keep up with the latest standards but remains perfectly readable if you're visiting with internet explorer.
So, here's to a new site and, hopefully, regular updates!
Edit: The web font I'm using here tends to look like a ransom note in Opera. I see I'm not the only one with this problem. I'll leave it as it is for the moment, but I am seeking a solution (unless Opera gets there first). Sorry nordic browser users!
